February marked another strong month for health care despite job growth overall coming in weaker than expected but stable. Last month, health care and social assistance led the way for job creation, adding 63,100 jobs, according to the latest data from the Bureau of Labor Statistics. That marked the fifth straight month that the category saw the largest gains. When including private education in the group, like some economists do, that figure grows to 73,000 jobs.

But when we make happiness the goal, we start to see our kids' distressing feelings as problems to fix, rather than emotions to tolerate. And when we struggle to sit with our kids' hard feelings, we unintentionally teach them that those feelings are bad, or even threatening.

Women are overwhelmingly ambitious in their careers, and they see workplace flexibility as a pillar for helping them get ahead at work. A majority of women workers, 87%, say they're ambitious in their careers, with roughly half, 48%, saying they're "very ambitious," according to CNBC's annual SurveyMonkey Women at Work survey, which was fielded to over 18,800 U.S. workers between February 21 and March 3. But many worry the stigma of flexible arrangements could harm their career growth, and flexibility is harder to come by for those seeking new opportunities.
