Beyoncé and Solange are two icons in their own right, and the creative sisters have a strong relationship with each other that exudes love and care. This dynamic has a lot to do with how their mother, Tina Knowles, raised them. When Beyoncé and Solange were around the ages of 12 and 7 respectively, Knowles took them to counseling together. It was a taboo decision to make at the time, but Knowles felt it would strengthen her daughters’ relationship and help them grow as individuals.

A six-figure household income doesn't necessarily make you rich — in many cases, it just means you're middle class. The upper bound of what's considered middle class for households exceeds $100,000 in every U.S. state, according to a SmartAsset analysis of 2023 income data, the most recent available from the U.S. Census Bureau. The report, which crunched the numbers for all 50 states, is based on Pew Research's definition of middle class: two-thirds to double the median household income.

House Republicans have a plan to drastically change how millions of Americans repay their student debt. Under the GOP’s new proposal, known as the Student Success and Taxpayer Savings Plan, there would be just two repayment options for those with federal student loans. Currently, borrowers have about 12 ways to repay their student debt, according to higher education expert Mark Kantrowitz. If the GOP plan is enacted, borrowers would be able to pay back their debt through a plan with fixed payments over 10 to 25 years, or via an income-driven repayment plan, called the “Repayment Assistance Plan.” cnb.cx/42He5Js

Teens who overuse social media and smartphones could deprive themselves of a life skill that's essential for success, according to social psychologist and New York University professor Jonathan Haidt. Those between the ages of 13 and 18 average eight hours and 39 minutes of screen time per day, according to a 2021 report from Common Sense Media. Moreover, the company's 2023 "Constant Companion" report found that teens receive almost 240 notifications every day, and check their phones over 100 times. The result: A generation of people who can't concentrate, according to Haidt. And focus is an essential skill for success in life and at work, the social psychologist pointed out on a recent episode of The Oprah Podcast, where he spoke to a 17-year-old self-proclaimed social media addict.
